Labelata is a Switzerland based start-up specialising in supporting academic researchers, firms and hospitals with Medical AI projects. Labelata provides segmentation and labelling of data with a focus on quality, oversight and data protection. Our network of trained medical professionals allows us to perform labelling at scale and speed.

Labelata supports various commonly used open source annotation tools (such as ITK Snap and 3D Slicer) and file formats. We can also perform segmentation using your in-house tools.

SAAD KHALID

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Whilst completing a CAS in Applied IT at ETH, Saad was connected with researchers in Zurich and discovered that one of the pain points of Medical AI projects is the labelling of training data and thus founded Labelata to support Swiss academics, start-ups and hospitals. Saad has prior experience in data analytics in the banking and fintech sector.

DR NIKHIL MIRAJKAR

Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer

Nikhil completed his radiology training at the West Midlands Radiology School in the UK, followed by an Abdominal Imaging Fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada. He has recently been appointed as a consultant GI/HPB radiologist at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. Harbouring a passion for the development of artificial intelligence solutions within medical imaging, Nikhil leads Labelata's efforts in ensuring high quality segmentation across a variety of imaging modalities. His current research interests include iron quantification in benign & malignant liver lesions and the development of a deep learning algorithm to improve detection of renal cell carcinoma.

DR ALEKS VASILJEVIC

Aleks also completed his radiology training at the West Midlands Radiology School in the UK and now works as a consultant radiologist with a sub-speciality interest in GI/Nuclear medicine at University Hospital Coventry. He has led multiple successful projects at Labelata and manages relationships with key customers.

CHRIS SCHERRER

Advisor

Chris studied Computational Science & Engineering at ETH and holds an MBA from Warwick University. He is currently working in Health Insurance at Helsana in Zurich and brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge of the Swiss Market.
